Claremont is situated in the heart of the southern suburbs of Cape Town. It is becoming an increasingly popular area due to its proximity to the city only approximately 9 km away; several highly regarded schools such as Bishops, SACS, Herschel and Westerford, as well as the University of Cape Town; excellent shopping in the popular Cavendish Square and surrounds, the famous Newlands cricket and rugby stadiums, a good selection of restaurants and coffee shops, and the Constantia Winelands. The central area of Claremont is experiencing extensive growth, both in commercial and residential property development.
