Claremont Area Profile
Claremont is situated in the heart of the southern suburbs of Cape Town. It is becoming an increasingly popular area due to its proximity to the city only approximately 9 km away; several highly regarded schools such as Bishops, SACS, Herschel and Westerford, as well as the University of Cape Town; excellent shopping in the popular Cavendish Square and surrounds, the famous Newlands cricket and rugby stadiums, a good selection of restaurants and coffee shops, and the Constantia Winelands. The central area of Claremont is experiencing extensive growth, both in commercial and residential property development. There is a noticeable increase in the construction of new apartment blocks and townhouse secure complexes, all adding to the desirability of this area.
